How do you know that the idea you are pursuing is the RIGHT idea?
Honestly, I don't.
Just because I built products over many years and think I have a good grasp on customer behavior, I still don't know if an idea is worth doing.
But I do it anyway. But I never do it blindly.
Product Managers need to use data to validate their assumptions.
Intuition is great and very important. And it takes courage to feel uncomfortable when making decisions. And convincing others to follow.
Like when you are exploring a city and decide to go into a different direction without looking at a map. Just knowing this is the better direction.
But still, we need to take out as much bias and guessing as possible. We do this with data.
Find data about the market, the competition, the users and refine your plan of action based on it.
Let me make a cheesy attempt at coining a phrase...
